Barton Village Hall, Preston, was built in 1924 from funds raised by Villagers to provide residents of Barton and surrounding areas, a facility for organisations and groups of all ages and interests to meet.
Over the years subsequent refurbishments and additions have been made to constantly improve and update the building.
Barton Village Hall is a registered charity (No. 224407) and is administered and run by a Management Committee of Trustees. The trustees are elected members of the local community and have been instrumental in the continuing development of the hall, providing the local community with outstanding facilities.
Message from the Chairman
The Barton Village Hall Committee works tirelessly to maintain our Village Hall. Our aim is to safeguard the Village Hall as an asset for our community and to make it environmentally friendly. Very recently, after much hard work, we were granted funds from the Lancashire Environmental Fund, the National Lottery and Barton Parish Council to install solar panels and batteries, update doors and complete the phasing-in of LED lighting.
Our Village Hall is 100 this year and it is a credit to the hard work and dedication of teams of volunteers over the years that has enabled Barton to have such a thriving and well-maintained Village Hall.
The present Village Hall Committee would like to thank past volunteers and also thank the Lancashire Environmental Fund, the National Lottery and Barton Parish Council for the opportunity of making the enhancements which contribute to environmental saving.
